Surrogacy Guide Colombia

Editorial policy

What you can expect from every page.

Sources, in order of weight

  1. Official texts: laws, court rulings and government pages.
  2. Academic work.
  3. News reports.
  4. Law-firm blogs.
  5. Provider websites. These are marketing and we label them as such.

What we mark

Every legal statement cites its source. If we have not read the original ruling or law, we say so and label it as unconfirmed until a licensed attorney confirms it.

Dilce Yamilet Peñuela, an attorney in Colombia, is the legal reviewer for the Colombian-law content. A page shows a "legally reviewed" label only after she confirms it, with the date. Until then, it has not been reviewed by her. Her review does not cover pages about U.S. law, such as citizenship and passports, and does not make this site legal advice. Reading it does not create an attorney-client relationship with her. See corrections below.

Medical review

The medical content of this site is reviewed by Dr. Norge Miranda Casas, a physician from Colombia. A page is marked as medically reviewed only after he confirms it.

Corrections

We correct errors as soon as we confirm them and show the date of the update at the top of the page. Report errors from the contact page.

Independence

Payment from a listed provider never changes what we write or the order of the listing. See the ethics policy.
